Ryan Johanson Excellent performances, a well-chosen set list, and crystal clear sound quality. I kind of wish the crowd noise didn't cut out at the end of every track because it messes with my immersion, but that's just minor nitpicking on my part. A great reminder of why I used to love live music, and hopefully will again. Favorite track: Melide.

Recorded live on June 6th 2020.
This is a special one as it was the first show after the lockdown in Switzerland hosting 300 people.

First there was silence.
Global lockdown. Stay at home – the memories of previous rock concerts lost somewhere between an unknown future and a past fading evermore into darkness.
And then… much sooner than expected, the Swiss government reopened the stage on June 6th, 2020. There was this drummer from a band who wanted to get back on stage right away. And then there was this venue, who throughout lockdown, only wanted to have one band on stage to celebrate the end of isolation, only one band to release the pent-up emotions of the previous 3 months: Leech.
Three days before the show the pre-sale started… and all 250 tickets sold out in three hours.
First there was silence, and then there was Leech.
Five minutes before the show there was still silence. The crowd was waiting for their first live show in three months. 250 people in one room, after being asked to stay home for weeks. A surreal feeling. Music-lovers from every corner of Switzerland once again felt what it means to be together. Shoulder to shoulder. The show started, tears fell down the
happy faces. It was magic. It was the end of silence.
A few weeks later, the number of infections rose again and the government went back to more stringent regulations. This show was meant to be a new beginning but ended up as a silver lining on the horizon. For all those who were a part of that show, the 6th of June is a moment of hope. A pandemic time-out. A moment to remember. Not the end, just one step out of this fucking disaster.

Spontanious.
This word explains why this show happened.
Our drummer was at home making dinner when his beautiful wife told him about the new regulations coming up on June 6th, 2020. From this date on it would be allowed to do shows again with 300 people. Our drummer thought “We have to play a show that day!”
Marco from the Schüür Club said, he had the same idea. During the lockdown , several times he thought about Leech being the first show he’d like to host. And from that night on everything just came together.
We put together a two hour show, and thought, “Why not do a live stream of a live show with a real audience?”
Everybody was really into it and just said yes. Once we had the “go” from Swiss authorithies with the safety regulations we could announce the show, which sold out after three hours!
People were just desperate to hear and see a real live concert again. And we were desperate to play live again. We would have been on tour in China at this point but because of Covid19 we were not.
The day of the show was pretty much normal. Load in, set up, soundcheck - business as usual. But when we hit the stage we felt that this is going to be very special night. The crowd was more than euphoric and we think our show was pretty good...!
Enjoy, stay healthy and happy and wash your hands. That will keep this record in good shape for much longer!
